Home School Oversight
Faith Christian School is registered with the Maryland State Department of Education as an approved supervisor of home instruction.
The oversight fee of $150.00 per family includes the following:
* Three meetings annually with FCS home school staff.
* Year round access to home school director or home school supervisor.
* Curriculum assistance when needed.
* Semester report cards
* One transcript
* Participation in FCS graduation ceremony
The following programs are offered at the same rate they are offered to our day school students:
* Extra transcripts (Fee: $10.00 per transcript)
* Standardized testing (Fee: $50.00)
* Graduation items including: cap, gown, diploma, announcements, etc. (Fee: Set by Balfour Co.)
* Class ring (Fee: Set by Balfour Co.)
* High school or middle school academic courses: English, history, math, science (Fee: $1,000.00 per class: these are 5 days per week academic classes)
* K-8 “specialty classes”: art, music, PE, computer lab, Spanish (4th&5th only) (Fee: $150.00 per class)
* After school activities: martial arts, football(ms/hs), drama, cheer, choir (k-5), other activities as available (Fee: set by coach)
* Field trips: home schooled students may attend any field trip. or in house activity that is done by his or her proper grade level. (Fee: established by program or trip.)
